Security at UCLA
The UCLA community operates on the assumption that electronic data and
communications are secure, reliable, interoperable, and have integrity.
Ensuring such an environment is a big challenge. Internet attacks besiege
the campus on a daily basis. Sensitive data is ubiquitous and continues
to be vulnerable to unintended exposure and loss of privacy. Research
and education are hindered by uncoordinated security measures that vary
from unit to unit, providing protection - but also preventing the legitimate
exchange of data and communications.
